Dr. Mitchell Carl's distinguished background in medical oncology and infectious diseases includes nearly 20 years with the Naval Medical Research Institute, including a long tenure as Associate Medical Director of the Department of Defense Marrow Donor Program. While there, he secured more than $4.5 million in research grants for projects he headed, as well as authoring numerous publications. He also spent two years as an Epidemic Intelligence Officer with the National Centers for Disease Control.
Dr. Carl received his undergraduate degree from Brooklyn College and his medical degree from the State University of New York. He completed an internship in internal medicine at the State University of New York Kings County Medical Center and a residency in internal medicine at the Montefiore Hospital and Medical Center in New York City. Dr. Carl served as a Fellow in Infectious Diseases at the Harvard Medical School Brigham and Women's Hospital and as a Fellow in Hematology and Oncology at the Georgetown University Medical Center in Washington, D.C.
Dr. Carl and his family reside in London.
