Mridula Vinjamuri, M.D. comes to Commonwealth Cancer Center from Nebraska Hematology and Oncology after completing her fellowship in Hematology and Oncology at West Virginia University Hospital in Morgantown, West Virginia. Her residency was in Internal Medicine at Michigan State University’s Covenant Hospital in Saginaw, Michigan and her surgical residency was at Cornell University’s North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset, New York. Dr. Vinjamuri holds a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBBS) from A.P. State University of Health Sciences at Guntur Medical College.
Clinical experience includes Externships in Radiation Oncology and Pulmonary Critical Care as well as serving as a Clinical Research Assistant in Pulmonary Critical Care, all at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine, Newark Beth Israel Medical Center in Newark, New Jersey.
Dr. Vinjamuri is the recipient of numerous honors and awards, research awards and research grants. She maintains a Certificate of Clinical Instructor awarded by the Internal Medicine Department of Michigan State University. She served as a Counselor in Alcohol and Drug Abuse and as a Coordinator for an Underprivileged Children’s Education Camp. She has made numerous case presentations and has authored dozens of abstracts, publications, and presentations.
